NEW CONSTRUCTION

Hospital Buildings:

n  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center – Los Angeles: Imaging Building.  Steel framed structure with 2-story plus 1-level basement.  Almost a semi-circle shape in plan and floors sets back.  Entry lobby utilizes curving and sloping structural glass.

n  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center – Los Angeles: Elevator Addition.   Steel framed structure at exterior of the existing 8-story plus 1-level basement patient tower.  Elevator structure goes through basement level and first 2 levels of the existing tower.

n  County Medical Hospital – Ventura: Laboratory Building.  1-1/2-story reinforced concrete masonry structure.

n  Memorial Hospital – Ventura: New Central Plant & Emergency Generator Building.  1-story reinforced concrete/Steel framed structure.

n  Holy Cross – Mission Hills: Steel framed structure with 4-story plus basement.

n  Kaiser Permanente Sunset – Los Angeles:  Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory building.  3-story steel and concrete framed structure.

 

Research Buildings:

n  Children’s Hospital – Los Angeles:  Research Building.  Steel framed 10-story structure.

n  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center – Los Angeles: Research Building.  Steel framed 9-story structure.

 

Medical Office & Other Support Buildings:

n  Little Company of Saint Mary Hospital: Medical Office Building.  Steel framed 3-story structure.

n  County Medical Hospital – Ventura: Cafeteria Building.  1-story steel framed structure.  Construction documents were completed but not constructed yet.

 

EXISTING CONSTRUCTION

Evaluations/Remodeling:

n  County Medical Hospital – Ventura: Seismic evaluation of existing hospital buildings (some were for SB1953 compliance) and several remodeling projects.

n  Memorial Hospital – Ventura: Seismic evaluation of existing structures and several remodeling projects.

n  Orthopaedic Hospital – Los Angeles:  Structural evaluation of existing Lowman Outpatient Center.  Steel framed gravity framing with concrete shear walls for lateral resistance.
